Dr. Anagnostis is a licensed psychologist and board certified clinical neuropsychologist.  He completed his doctoral training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) in 2002.  His training experiences at UT Southwestern included intensive rotations in a variety of clinical settings, including Children’s Medical Center at Dallas, The Dallas County Juvenile Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital, the UT Southwestern Psychotherapy Clinic, and the Federal Medical Center, Carswell.  Dr. Anagnostis additionally completed his APA-accredited clinical psychology internship through UT Southwestern Medical Center, which involved comprehensive evaluations and consultations with both pediatric and adult populations.  After concluding his doctoral studies and clinical internship, Dr. Anagnostis completed a postdoctoralfellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, where he conducted evaluations of children and adolescents with a variety of neurodevelopmental, neurological and medical conditions (e.g. learning disabilities, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficits); and he later completed additional postdoctoral neuropsychological training with an adult population (through Price, Proctor & Associates in Dallas).  Throughout his education and training experiences, he served patients presenting with a wide range of difficulties, including attention and executive functioning problems, brain and neurological disorders, complex medical problems, and psychiatric/behavioral difficulties.
After the completion of his training and fellowship, Dr. Anagnostis served on the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center before establishing his private practice (Neuropsychology of Fort Worth) in 2005.  Since that time, his focus has been on providing high quality, evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations primarily with a pediatric population, although he does perform evaluations of adults depending upon the specific referral question.  He is enthusiastic and passionate about integrating knowledge of the brain, neuropsychology, and neuroscience into the learning environment; and strives to utilize his extensive training in brain-behavior relationships when making individualized, meaningful, and effective recommendations based upon the evaluations performed.  Dr. Anagnostis is one of approximately 50 neuropsychologists in the state of Texas to have attained board certification through the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN; a specialty board within the American Board of Professional Psychology – ABPP).  Additionally, he is actively involved in the neuropsychological community and is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN), American Psychological Association (Division 40 – Clinical Neuropsychology), the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), and the International Neuropsychological Society (INS).  Dr. Anagnostis resides in Fort Worth with his wife and 2 children.   |
